In 'Saskia's True Colours' Saskia Laan, our own crochet star, is picking her favourite colours of the season. Colours that fit the time of the year, capture the feeling of the season and yarns that crochet beautifully. Curious about Saskia's autumn colours? Read all about it here.
After introducing her summer packet, Saskia has again composed a packet of 20 beautiful colours. The Katia Capri balls of 100% cotton again are a favourite. In this autumn packet you can find deep colours that are perfectly suitable for your autumn projects. Saskia's autumn package is available here.
Saskia made beautiful colour combinations of red, pink, yellow, green and blue shades.
In the summer break, Saskia crocheted bookmarks for the kids on the campsite. Now she is ready to share the pattern with you. Very nice to make them in the new autumn colours!
Flower bookmark pattern:
Create a magic ring. In this ring, ch. 3, trc. 3, ch 3, sc. 1. Repeat this 2 times and end with a sl.st. in the first ch. Crochet a foundation of chains as the flower's stalk for the length you need.
Make a tulip by crocheting 5 dc. in a magic ring. Remove your hook and pull the dc. together by taking the 1st and the 5th stitch together, and pulling both ends through the middle of the leafs. Tie the yarn together and cast off.
These flowers are of course nice as book marks, but of course they are suitabel for much more projects. Where would you use them for?
