And we're also getting ready for Halloween! Get going with the free pattern of this Halloween spider and be ready for things to get freaky!

The spider is made of Katia Canada and has been made extra fluffy with a comb. The big eyes and the smiling mouth keep him from getting to creepy, and even make him a little cuddly don't you think?
What do you need?
- 3 balls Katia Canada (37)
- 1 ball ByClaire nr. 3 Sparkle (2208)
- Crochet hook no. 7mm and 3,5mm
- Darning needle with a sharp point
- Stuffing 250 gram
- 1 pair of safety eyes yellow 30mm
- Gütermann HT2 Textile Glue
- Dog brush with metal pins

Halloween Spider - Free Crochet Pattern
The spider is about 30 cm long (including the head) and 25 cm wide (excluding the legs)
Body
Round 1: With Katia Canada sc. 6 in a magic loop, or start the following way; ch. 2, sc. 6 in the first ch. and sl.st. 1 in the first sc. to close to a round (6 sts.)
Round 2: Sc. 2 in each st. (12 sts.)
Round 3: Sc. 2 in each 2nd st. (18 sts.)
Round 4: Sc. 1, *Sc. 2 in the next st., sc. 2*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 1 (24 sts.)
Round 5: Sc. 2 in each 4th st. (30 sts.)
Round 6: Sc. 2, *Sc. 2 in the next st., sc. 4*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 2 (36 sts.)
Round 7: Sc. 2 in each 6th st. (42 sts.)
Rounds 8 & 9: Sc. 42 in each round (42 sts.)
Round 10: Sc. 3, *Sc. 2 in the next st., sc. 6*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 3 (48 sts.)
Round 11: Sc. 2 in each 8th st. (54 sts.)
Round 12: Sc. 4, *Sc. 2 in the next st., sc. 8*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 4 (60 sts.)
Rounds 13 & 14: Sc. 60 each round (60 sts.)
Round 15: Sc. 2 in each 10th st. (66 sts.)
Round 16: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 10th and 11th st. together (60 sts.)
Round 17: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. 4, *Sc. 2 together, sc. 8*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 4 (54 sts.)
Round 18: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 8th and 9th st. together (48 sts.)
Round 19: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. 3, *Sc. 2 together, sc. 6*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 3 (42 sts.)
Round 20: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 6th and 7th st. together (36 sts.)
Round 21: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. 2, *Sc. 2 together, sc. 4*. Repeat from *to*, until the end of the round, but end with sc. 2 (30 sts.)
Round 22: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 4th and 5th st. together (24 sts.)
Round 23: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 3rd and 4th st. together (18 sts.)
Round 24: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 2nd and 3rd st. together (12 sts.) Stuff the body firmly.
Round 25: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. 2 together until the end of the round (6 sts.) Cast off and draw the end yarn through your last 6 sts.
Brush the body with the dog comb such that it get's fluffy.
Head
Round 1: Ch. 8. Sc. 2 in the first ch., sc. 5, sc. 4 in the last ch. and continue on the other side of the foundation chain. Sc. 5, sc. 2 in the last ch. (18 sts.)
Round 2: Sc. 18 (18 sts.)
Round 3: Sc. 2 in each 3rd st. (24 sts.)
Round 4: Sc. 2 in each 4th st. (30 sts.)
Round 5 & 6: Sc. 30 in each round (30 sts.)
Round 7: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 4th and 5th st. together (24 sts.)
Round 8: Sc. 24 (24 sts.) Close with a sl.st. 1. Leave a long yarn on your work to attach the head to the body.
Brush the head with the dog comb such that it get's fluffy. Do this before you attach the safety eyes.
Place the safety eyes between rounds 2 and 3. This will be the upper part of the head.
To make sure that the eyes stay attached to the head we used a little glue to secure them to the head.
Stuff the head firmly and attach it with some pins to the body between rounds 11 and 19 and sew it together using some small stitches.
Legs
Work 8 legs the following way.
Round 1: With Katia Canada sc. 6 in a magic loop, or start the following way; ch. 2, sc. 6 in the first ch. and sl.st. 1 in the first sc. to close to a round (6 sts.)
Rounds 2 - 5: Sc. 6 in each round (6 sts.)
Stuff the leg a little bit.
Round 6: Fold the leg flat and close the first part with sc. 3.
You're going to work in rounds on the 3 sc. by inserting only in the front loops of the sc., sc. 3 on the one side and the sc. 3 on the other side such that you have a round of 6 sts. again.
Rounds 7 - 13: Sc. 6 in each round (6 sts.)
Stuff the leg a little bit and close it with sl.st. 3.
When you've finished all legs then brush them with the dog comb to get them just as fluffy as the head and body.
Sew the first two legs on the side of the body close to the head in round 15. Divide the other legs evenly on the body and sew them firmly together with a few small stitches.
Cross
With crochet hook no. 3,5mm and ByClaire Sparkle, ch. 21. Put the chain away for a little while.
Work another chain; ch. 10, sl.st. 1 in the 11th ch. of the other chain, then ch. 11. don't cast off. You've made a cross where we're going to continue on.
Sc. 2 in the 2nd ch. from your hook, sc. 9 until the middle of the cross. Continue on the other chain and sc. 9, sc. 4 in the last ch. and continue on the other side of the chain. Sc. 9 until the middle. Continue on the other chain. Sc. 9. Sc. 4 in the last ch. and sc. 9 on the other side of the chain until the middle. Continue on the other chain and sc. 9, sc. 4 in the last ch. Sc. 9 on the other side until the middle. Continue on the last ch. and sc. 9, sc. 2 in the last ch. and close with sl.st. 1 in the first sc.
