This baby blanket is made of DMC Natural XL, a strong and chunky 100% soft cotton yarn. This way the littlest boys and girls can play around on it safely with their favourite crocheted or knitted toy. Big chance they might just fall asleep while laying on this cuddly blanket. Whether your knitting this blanket for your own little one or as a baby shower gift: it's a real eye catcher in any nursery, crib or stroller.
Materials:
- 5 balls DMC Natura XL colour 09
- Knitting needles no. 8 mm
Size: Width 75 x Length 65 cm
Stitches used:
Purl stitch
Knit stitch
Garter stitch
DMC Natura XL Baby Blanket - Free Knitting Pattern
Cast on 84 stitches and knit 4 rows in garter.
Row 5: Knit 4 sts. (= edge), *Knit 3 sts., purl 1 st.** Repeat from *to** until 4 sts. before the end. Knit 4 sts.
Row 6: Knit 4 sts. (= edge), knit 2 sts., purl 1 st., *Knit 3 sts., purl 1 st.** Repeat from *to** until 4 sts. before the end. Knit 4 sts.
Repeat these rows until you've reached a length of 63 cm. Then knit 4 rows garter for the edging. Cast off all sts.
