Our Christmas Village will make this Christmas the most creative and joyful one you’ve ever had! In this new CAL (crochet-along), we will crochet a scenic miniature Christmas village displayed on a tiered stand, dotted around with fantastic figures and festive features in traditional Christmas colors. From 1 – 24 December, we will share a new crochet pattern every day so you can count down to Christmas in style. In November and December, you’ll find us queuing at our local home and garden center, stocking up on décor essentials to bring some Christmas cheer into our homes! Tinsel draped around the living room, baubles gleaming in the tree, fairy lights sparkling on the front of the house and a large wreath greeting visitors at the door. A lovely crocheted Christmas village on a stylish display stand completes the picture!
Christmas Village Display Stand
We’ve opted to decorate a large tiered display stand (height: ± 65 cm, widest diameter: 40 cm). It’s perfect for crocheting a cozy Christmas village filled with lots of figures and festive decorations! In this snowy miniature village, you’ll find houses, warmly dressed villagers, Santa delivering gifts and a large sparkling Christmas tree. Although the winter days may be getting darker and colder, warm Christmas colors are a sure way to brighten up your home. That’s why we’ve gone with rich, traditional Christmas colors for this display. Think shades of green, deep red and bright yellow for the illuminated houses and twinkling lights.

From 1 – 24 December, we will share a new pattern every day at around 10:00 AM (CET), right here on the blog. The patterns come with clear instructions and are suitable for anyone who has the basic crochet stitches under their belt.

Christmas Village Advent CALender Crochet Kit
We’ve put together a crochet kit for this CAL. In this kit, you’ll find all you need (including the display stand!) to crochet this festive miniature village. All you need to provide are crochet hooks in the correct sizes. The crochet kit costs €49,95 and you can order yours now!
In the crochet kit, you’ll find the following:
- Display stand construction kit
- 15 balls Yarn and Colors Must-Have
- Rico Creative Lamé Zilver
- 40 grams stuffing
- Snow yarn
- Yarnplaza Christmas lights (excluding batteries)
Alongside the kit, you also need the following:
- Crochet hooks 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 mm
- 2 x AA batteries for the lights
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
- Darning needle
