Because Rico Creative Bubble is no ordinary yarn we get that your curious about all ins and outs. Below all the must knows are being outlined:

  • There is no need to stuff the sponges because of the volume of the yarn itself. Making a project that required stuffing? Use some of the yarn itself to fill it up!
  • This yarn can be washed up to 60℃. Hygienic for using this yarn for dishes or while bathing!
  • The thread is nicely soft and comfortable so won't hurt your hands while crocheting or knitting with it.
  • Despite the hairy yarn, your stitches will remain visible and a pattern can be easily followed!

Spongy Rubber Duck - Free Crochet Pattern

Materials:
Rico Creative Bubble Yellow (2), Orange (5), Black (12)
Crochet hook 4mm

Stitches used:
Ch. = Chain
Sc. = Single crochet
Sl.st. = Slip stitch

Size: 13 cm long, 7 cm wide and 10 cm high

Cut some yarns of the Yellow ball before you start to stuff your duck later on.

Work with colour Yellow and start at the top of the head.

Round 1: Sc. 6 in a Magic ring or start the following way; ch. 2, sc. 6 in the first ch., sl.st. 1 in the first sc. (6 sts.)
Round 2: Sc. 2 in each st. (12 sts.)
Round 3: Sc. 2 in each 2nd st. (18 sts.)
Round 4: Sc. 18 (18 sts.)
Round 5: Sc. 2 in each 3rd st. (24 sts.)
Rounds 6 - 9: Sc. 24 each round (24 sts.)
Round 10: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 3rd and 4th st. tog. (18 sts.)
Round 11: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 2nd and 3rd st. tog. (18 sts.)
Round 12: Sc. 2 in the 1st, 2bd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th st. (18 sts.)

Row 19: Sc. 13 (13 sts.)
Row 20: Sc. the 6th and 7th st. tog. (12 sts.)
Row 21: Decrease 3 sts. Sc. the 3rd and 4th, 6th and 7th, 9th and 10th st. tog. (9 sts.)
Row 22: Decrease 3 sts. Sc. the 2nf and 3rd, 5th and 6th, 8th and 9th st. tog. (6 sts.)
Row 23: Decrease 1 st. Sc. the 3rd and 4th st. tog. (5 sts.)
Row 24: Decrease 2 sts. Sc. the 2nd and 3rd, 4th and 5th st. tog. (3 sts.)
Round 25: Continue in rounds.
Sc.10 on the side of the flap, sc. 6 at the back of the head, sc. 10 on the other side of teh flap and sc. 3 at the bottom. You’ll get 29 sts. in total (29 sts.)
Round 26: Sc. 2 in 14th  st. (30 sts.)
Round 27: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 4th and 5th st. tog. (24 sts.)
Rounds 28 - 30: Sc. 24 each round (24 sts.)
Round 31: Decrease 6 sts. Sc. each 3rd and 4th st. tog. (18 sts.)
Round 32: Sc. the 1st and 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 15th and 16th, 17th and 18th st. tog. Sc. 2 in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th st. (18 sts.)
Round 33: Sc. 18 (18 sts.)
Round 34: Sc. the 1st and 2nd st. tog. Sc. 2 in the 10th  st. (18 sts.)
Round 35: Decrease 3 sts. Sc. each 5th and 6th st. tog. (15 sts.)
Round 36: Stuff the head and the body with a few of the yarns you cut before staring. Decrease 3 sts. Sc. each 4th and 5th st. tog. (12 sts.)
Round 37: Decrease 2 sts. Sc. the 5th and 6th, 11th and 12th st. tog. (10 sts.) Fold your work flat and close it with sl.st. Weave in the ends.

Beak:
With colour Orange ch. 6. Work in rows. Tch. 1 after each row.
Rows 1 - 4: Sc. 5.
Row 5: Fold your work double and close it with sl.st. 5 at the bottom of row 1. Close the sides with a few small stitches and sew the beak to the front of the head of the duck. Weave in the ends. Embroider with colour Black two eyes above the beak.

Rico Creative Bubble Fuchsia (4), Pink (3), Black (12)
Crochet hook 4mm

Size: 8 cm long, 7 cm wide and 7 cm high
