Annemarie Huijser of Studio Hip and Stip simply loves crocheting granny squares. A while ago, she designed the granny square Blossom Blanket for Yarn and Colors. And for this popular yarn brand’s Lookbook #24, she decided to create a baby version of this design. The cheerful use of color ensures that this baby blanket is a real eyecatcher in the nursery. For the best results, use the matte cotton yarn, Yarn and Colors Epic. The added bonus is that this yarn is available in no fewer than 100 colors. Happy crocheting!

Requirements for the pastel-colored blanket:
- 5 balls Yarn and Colors Epic 001 White
- 2 balls Yarn and Colors Epic 037 Cotton Candy, 041 Coral, 042 Peach, 046 Pastel Pink and 075 Green Ice
- 1 ball Yarn and Colors Epic 013 Sunglow and 076 Mint

Requirements for the purple-colored blanket:
- 5 balls Yarn and Colors Epic 102 Marble
- 2 balls Yarn and Colors Epic 037 Cotton Candy, 041 Coral, 042 Peach, 052 Orchid and 053 Violet
- 1 ball Yarn and Colors Epic 032 Pepper and 045 Blossom

General requirements:
- Crochet hook 5 mm
- Scissors
- Darning needle
