Tunisian crochet is totally trendy so Saskia got going with a special Tunisian crochet technique and made this cool, cheerful scarf. This scarf is colourful and has a sparkling edge made of byClaire Sparkle.

The basis of this scarf is made of Yarn and Colors Charming, a yarn of cotton and acrylic with a stonewashed look. This supply yarns is very suitable for making scarves, but can also be used for making clothes, baby items or amigurumi. Materials:
- 1 ball Yarn & Colors Charming colour 75 (Green Ice), 85 (Pesto), 11 (Golden Glow), 46 (Pastel Pink), 16 (Cantaloupe), 2 (Cream)
- 1 ball byClaire Sparkle colour 3 (Crème)
- Crochet hook 6mm
- KnitPro Trendz Tunisian Crochet Hook 8mm
- Lana Grossa Vario Wire 40cm

Charming Tunisian Scarf - Free Crochet Pattern

Before you start:
- This pattern consists of forward and return pass rows.
- Changing colours can best be done when you have 1 loop remaining on your hook. Attach the new colour and pull it tight.
- Work 120 rows with each colour (60 x a forward and return pass row) or until you run out of yarn.

Start with colour Green Ice and the Tunisian crochet hook and ch. 32.

Row 1: Insert your hook through the first ch. from your hook and yarn over. Draw through the stitch and leave the loop on your hook.*Insert your hook in the next ch., yarn over and draw through and leave the loop on your hook*. Repeat from *to* until the end of the row.
Row 2: Yarn over and draw through 1 loop on your hook. *Yarn over and draw through 2 loops on your hook*. Repeat from *to* until you have 1 loop remaining on your hook.
Row 3: Insert in between the 2 vertical strands of 1 vertical bar from the front to the back, yarn over and draw through and leave the loop on your hook. Repeat this for all the sts. Insert for the last st. through the vertical bar and the turning ch. from the forwards pass at the same time for a smooth edge.

Repeat rows 2 and 3 until you've worked 120 rows or until you run out of yarn.
Cast on with colour 3 (Cream) and repeat rows 2 and 3 3 times in total.
Cast on with colour 85 (Pesto) and repeat rows 2 and 3 until you run out of yarn.
Cast on with colour 3 (Cream) and repeat rows 2 and 3 3 times in total.
Cast on with colour 11 (Golden Glow) and repeat rows 2 and 3 until you run out of yarn.
Cast on with colour 3 (Cream) and repeat rows 2 and 3 3 times in total.
Cast on with colour 46 (Pastel Pink)and repeat rows 2 and 3 until you run out of yarn.
Cast on with colour 3 (Cream) and repeat row 2 and 3 3 times in total.
Cast on with colour 16 (Cantaloupe) and repeat rows 2 and 3 until you run out of yarn.

Edge:
Cast on a new yarn of byClaire Sparkle Creme with crochet hook no. 6mm on the long edges of the scarf in a random st. Ch. 1, sc. 1 in each st. until you arrive at the end of the long edge.

When arriving at the short edge: *Ch. 16, and go back using sl.st. 1 in each of these ch. Sc. 1 in between the “V” stitch of the scarf.* Repeat from *to* until the end of the short edge. This way each little v shaped stitch on the short edge will get a fringe. When arriving at the long edge sc. 1 in each st. and repeat the above when arriving at the short edge again.
