Embroider a Phone Case for Mother's Day – Two Free Embroidery Patterns!

Are you still looking for a last-minute Mother’s Day gift and do you enjoy getting creative? Surprise your (step)mom, grandma, or mother figure with these two (free) embroidery patterns that you can use to spruce up a phone case with an embroidered design. One pattern uses cross-stitch and the other uses the embroidery technique. Perfect for mastering the basic stitches of embroidery and for making a beautiful gift.

Choose your own colors and customize it to your liking


The two embroidery patterns are perfect for spring, with their flowers and bees. One pattern is a cute little heart made of flowers, and the other features pretty flowers and bees all over the case. Choose your favorite or make both, so you can switch cases whenever you like!

This pattern is based on an iPhone 11 case measuring 15.09 x 7.57 cm, but you can easily adjust the pattern to fit the size of your phone case. Here’s what you’ll need to embroider a phone case!

Cross-Stitch Phone Case Embroidery

This phone case features the cross-stitch as its central motif. The cross-stitch is a perfect stitch for beginners, so this case is also very beginner-friendly! By the way, Yarnplaza’s Tutorial Page not only explains how to do the cross-stitch, but also covers many other stitches. For this project, you’ll only need the cross-stitch. Grab your chosen colors and other materials, and get started right away on this beautiful embroidered case!

You'll need:


Embroidery fabric
Embroidery Thread in colors of your choice. We used the following colors:
- 01
- 310
- 340
- 367
- 601
- 726
- 760
- 970
- 993
- 996



Procedure


Step 1:
Print out the pattern and trace your phone case onto the fabric using the erasable pen.

Step 2:
Use two strands of embroidery thread and embroider the pattern onto the fabric. Make sure it fits your case. Adjust the pattern as needed.

Step 3:
Cut along the lines. Place the fabric right side in the case. Snap the case onto your phone, and you're done.

- Lazy Daisy stitch for the flower and the green leaves

Procedure


Step 1:
Print out the pattern and trace your phone case onto the fabric using the erasable pen.

Step 2:
Use two strands of Embroidery Thread, trace the pattern onto the fabric, and embroider according to the instructions for the stitches used. Make sure it fits your case. Adjust the pattern as needed.

Step 3:
Cut along the lines. Place the fabric right side in the case. Snap the case onto your phone, and you're done.
