What do you need for this cable knitting class?
First of all, of course, one of the kits or patterns from the Bea Torfs Collection. In this course, we’ll be knitting the gauge swatch for the Bea Cardigan or the Bea Spencer. You’ll also need a 10 mm Circular Knitting Needle or straight knitting needles, a cable needle, Stitch Markers, and blocking supplies.

Of course, Bea wants as many people as possible to enjoy knitting and wearing her cardigan. That’s why she walks you through the technique of cable knitting step by step in 5 different videos. It's time to grab your Knitting Needles and yarn, because we're starting this course today. In this video, Bea explains how to start the gauge swatch for the Bea Cardigan and exactly how a cable is constructed.

Part two of the cable knitting course. After we started with the Gauge swatch yesterday, today we’ll be increasing stitches to create the cable.

In Part 3 of the cable knitting course, we see the first outlines of the cable take shape. Bea also explains why and how to use a cable needle.

Today you’ll be making progress. Bea will lay out the second section of the cable, allowing you to finish the gauge swatch for the Bea Cardigan. To make the gauge swatch longer, repeat the steps from Video 3 and Video 4. Has your work reached the desired length? Then knit the ribbing again to finish the gauge swatch.

The finishing touch. In this final section, Bea explains the best way to finish and block your knitting.
