New Yarns
This year, we once again have a lovely summer yarn collection that you can use to crochet or knit the most fantastic creations. Even though it can get so hot that the proverbial sparrows are falling off the roof and you might not think about putting on clothes at first, wearing a cute top or a trendy shawl in the blazing sun is still a good idea. After all, a piece of clothing offers you protection from those bright sun rays. That’s why, in this blog, I’ll walk you through the yarns that will make you shine this summer. Let’s go!

Katia
Katia yarns have been a favorite choice for knitting and crocheting for many years. The brand offers a wide range of yarns as part of its standard collection, but every season, Katia pulls out all the stops to surprise you with fresh new yarns in many beautiful colors.
This summer, Katia brings you the lovely Cotton-Cashmere Degradé: a yarn we highly recommend if you want to start crocheting or knitting a summer dress, shawl, or cute top. All you have to do is choose a color combination. It’s a piece of cake!

Lana Grossa
Lana Grossa is a familiar name among most crafters. Lana Grossa produces a wide range of beautiful yarns in many different colors, from solid to variegated. And this summer, Lana Grossa has once again added several lovely balls to its collection.
To start with, Lana Grossa has added four new yarns to the Gomitolo family: Lana Grossa Gomitolo Felice, Gomitolo Sole, Gomitolo Pazzo, and Gomitolo Denim Graffiti. Each of these yarns will take your summer projects to the next level. Want to go for a cool summer look, for example? Then Gomitolo Denim Graffiti is the yarn for you! This printed cotton yarn features a unique color gradient with a bleached look, instantly giving your project a sporty and edgy vibe. The yarn is 80% cotton, making it wonderfully cool and airy to wear. That’s no small thing when you’re constantly feeling clammy in the summer and it feels like your clothes are sticking to your skin, and every extra layer feels like one too many. And as a bonus, you can make a fantastic shawl or scarf with just one ball of yarn. How great is that?! :)

Lana Grossa has also developed the Lana Grossa Romanza Contone, Alessia, Amoroso, and Alta Moda Cotolana Print for this summer and expanded the Brigitte collection. YES!! With its 80% cotton and 20% fine baby alpaca fiber blend, Lana Grossa Brigitte No. 4 lets you create the most beautiful tops and cardigans—perfect for strolling along the beach promenade and relaxing on a patio as the sun begins to set. So sit outside, let your creativity run wild, and get started with Lana Grossa Brigitte No. 4 to create your summer must-haves!

Last but not least, we need to talk briefly about the new Lana Grossa Allora. The Allora is a yarn that’s suitable for just about… well, everyone! You could even call it a true all-rounder. With the fine Allora yarn, you can create fantastic filet crochet or lace knitting, and thanks to its composition of cotton, Merino Wool, and alpaca wool, this chain yarn is a welcome addition to any season. And to wrap up this ode, I’d like to mention that the Allora is wonderfully soft, light, and airy. An ideal yarn for the cuddle lovers among us!
Rico
Before you rush to get started with one of the Summer Yarns I mentioned above, I’d like to tell you about Rico’s new yarn. For the sunny months, Rico has created Creative Cotton Dégradé Lucky 8. This skein is part of the Rico Design Creative Collection and features a harmonious color gradient blending no fewer than eight different colors. And since each skein contains a full 800 meters of yarn, you’ll only need one skein to make a Scarf. You’ll find the pattern for this scarf on the inside of the Rico Creative Cotton Dégradé Lucky 8 wrapper, which means you can get started right away on expanding your summer wardrobe.
And to inspire you, Rico has created four fantastic designs using Creative Cotton Dégradé Lucky 8. You can get started on two different scarves, a beautiful sweater, and a cozy Cardigan that pairs well with just about anything in your closet.

So if you’re sitting outside right now, have poured yourself a delicious drink, and are still wondering which project to tackle next, take a look at the yarns featured in this blog. Chances are there’s a real summer hit in there! ;)
