Crocheted Tulip Blanket by Scheepjeswol
Saskia is making a large tulip blanket using Scheepjeswol Stone Washed XL yarn. She chose this yarn because it feels soft and comes in beautiful, fresh colors.
"Stone Washed XL is a pleasure to crochet with! Unraveling it, on the other hand, is a lot harder, but of course that's not the point," says Saskia.
The choice of colors is, of course, a personal one, but there are plenty of ways to mix things up. You can use multiple shades to create a colorful Blanket, or you can crochet the basic squares and the squares with tulips in different shades. Let your creativity run wild!
Materials used:
- 27 balls of Scheepjeswol Stone Washed XL (we're using color Amazonite 853)
- Clover Amour Crochet Hook No. 6

Knitted scarf made from Rico Essentials Big yarn
Petra is kicking off this season with a simple yet wonderfully soft scarf made from Rico Essentials Big. This yarn has a smooth texture and is perfect for chunky, quick-to-knit projects. To give beginner Saskia a little encouragement and provide a nice example, the scarf is knitted entirely in stockinette stitch. You don’t have to make it complicated to achieve a beautiful result! Using the variegated Essentials Big Duo yarn adds just that extra, fresh touch.
Materials used:
- Rico Essentials Big: 3 balls of color 40, 3 balls of color 41
- Rico Essentials Big Duo: 3 Balls, color 4
- Lana Grossa plastic Knitting Needles, size 7
