Pimped Catania Stool
Saskia crochets a doily and uses it to spruce up a stool! She painted the old milk stool from her parents’ farm pink and finished it off with a crocheted doily. Doylies come in many different shapes and sizes. Saskia made this one to her own design and chose cheerful spring colors—they go perfectly with the stool!
Materials for the Catania Stool:
- 1 ball of SMC Catania in colors 392, 172, 222, 280, 246, 226, 179, 205, 386, 385, 106
- Crochet Hook size 3.5

Knitted Summer Zigzag Scarf
Petra is knitting a summery zigzag scarf using Rico Cotton Lurex and Rico Fashion Color Pop. The cheerful variegated yarn and the glittery thread are a perfect combination for a colorful scarf. How does the zigzag technique work? Petra explains it step by step on the show.
Materials for the Zigzag Scarf:
- Rico Cotton Lurex: 2 balls of color 12, 1 ball of colors 4 and 15
- Rico Fashion Color Pop: 2 Balls of colors 2 and 3
- 40 cm 3.5 mm Knitting Needles

Coffee & Wool Knitted Scarf
Every week, Saskia crochets a new section of the Koffie & Wool stitch scarf. This week, we’re already on row 17! After last week’s repeat row, we have another “floral” row this week. This time, Saskia is crocheting two types of tulips. For row 17a, Saskia uses color 537 (Lana Grossa Merino Superfein), and row 17b is in color 2007.
Row 17a: Join with pink-purple yarn. Chain 2 and work a double crochet in the first stitch. Chain 2. *In the first arch of the previous row, work 4 joined double crochets, chain 8, skip 1 arch. Repeat from * 6 times, chain 5, and work a double crochet in the last stitch.
Row 17b: Join the pink-red yarn to the second stitch of Row 16. Chain 2 and work a double crochet in the second stitch. Chain 5; in the remaining arch, work 3 joined double crochets, skip one arch, chain 8. Repeat from * 6 times. Chain 2 and work a double crochet in the last chain stitch. Fasten off.
