Knitting a Scarf with Lana Grossa Nordico

Knitting a scarf—at this time of year, we just can’t get enough of it! With this chilly weather, a cozy scarf is just the thing. Just wrap it around your neck, and you’re ready to face the cold. We have a whole collection: long scarves, tube scarves, and now a triangular scarf, too. Get started with Lana Grossa Ragazza Nordico and knit your own beautiful pointed scarf!

This triangular scarf isn't just wonderfully warm—it's also super trendy to wear over your clothes. Who says you can only wear a scarf outside? You can even drape it over your shoulders like a shawl. It's so versatile!

Lana Grossa Ragazza Nordico was used to knit this scarf. It’s a beautiful variegated yarn with soft color transitions. This instantly gives your knitting a stylish look. It’s also nice and voluminous, making it ideal for a warm scarf, sweater, or shawl. Nordico is available in 14 winter colors.

What do you need?

Material:
- Size 7 Knitting Needles (you can knit with standard knitting needles, but you can also use a Circular Knitting Needle)
- 6 balls of Lana Grossa Nordico

Dimensions: 170 cm wide and 75 cm high

Stitches used:
- Stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side)
- Edge stitch
- Cover

Before you start, it’s good to know that you’ll begin at the bottom. It may seem like you’re starting at the tip, but that’s not the case. Start knitting, and you’ll see the Scarf take shape.

Knitting Pattern:
Cast on 7 sts. and knit in stockinette stitch, starting with a purl row.

On the 2nd row (right side): work as follows: edge stitch, *1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over, repeat from * 4 times, 1 knit stitch, edge stitch. (= 11 stitches)

From now on, always knit the edge stitch at the beginning and end of each row.

On the 3rd row (purl row), knit all stitches, including the yarn overs.

On the 4th row, knit the first 2 sts, knit the sts before and after the center st, knit the last 2 sts, and knit 1 yarn over = 4 sts increased.

From now on, knit every right-side row as in the 4th row; this will make the stole wider and create a point. Knit every wrong-side row as in the 3rd row. Bind off your stitches when you have used up all the balls of yarn. We ended up with a total of 211 stitches on the Knitting Needle.
