Cast on a number of stitches that is divisible by 8, plus 5 extra stitches
Row 1: Knit this entire row
Needle 2: K5, *P3, K5*; repeat from * to * until the end
Needle 3: 5 purl, *3 knit, 5 purl*; repeat *-* until the end
Row 4: Repeat Row 2
Row 5: Knit this entire row
Needle 6: K1, *P3, K5*; repeat *-* until the last 4 stitches, then knit them as follows: P3, K1
