Crocheted Extra-Fine Merino Baby Blanket
This week, Saskia is crocheting a baby blanket for on the go. The blanket is perfect for use in the Maxi-Cosi or to quickly wrap around your little one. She’s using the wonderfully soft DROPS Merino Extra Fine yarn and crocheting in the waffle stitch. This stitch is fun, airy, and nice and warm. The cheerful cotton border really ties the blanket together!

Crochet Blanket
The Stitch Blanket is Saskia and Petra’s new project. After all, how fun is it to combine crocheting and knitting? They’re taking on the challenge of creating the same types of stitches using both knitting and crocheting. With the goal of making a fun blanket, they’ll knit and crochet a small square in each of the next twelve episodes, which will eventually come together to form a single blanket. You can choose to knit all the squares, crochet them, or combine both, just like we’re doing. Are you up for the challenge?
Material:
The blanket is made with Drops Muskat cotton yarn. The exact number of balls isn’t clear yet, but we’ve already put together a nice selection of colors. The colors used in the blanket are DROPS Muskat colors 40, 05, 29, 10, 19, 03, 20, 24, 09, 53, 60, and 02.
