Coffee & Wool - Episode 10

In this new episode of Coffee and Wool, we’re joined by Kristel Droog! She’ll tell us all about her Amigurumi and her upcoming book. Petra is back in the shop, Saskia and Annemarie have been crocheting, and Lotte is heading to a very special exhibition. Will you be watching?

In this blog, you'll find everything about Episode 10, including:

  • Crochet Pattern for the Estivo Polka-Dot Skirt
  • Anthurium Crochet Pattern
  • Knitting and Crochet Pattern for the Stitch Blanket

Kristel Droog is a well-known Haakster who goes by the name My Krissie Dolls. She’s a star at making the cutest Amigurumi—all using Sock Yarn. In this episode, she talks about how she got started with crocheting, what her trademark style is, and what we can expect from her new book. So exciting!

Estivo polka-dot skirt
Saskia knows all too well how much her daughter loves colorful skirts. So she wasn’t at all surprised when her daughter wanted to put it on right away and didn’t want to take it off. We, too, love this polka-dot skirt made from Lana Grossa Estivo II. The fluffy yarn feels wonderfully soft and creates a lovely fluffy effect.

Annemarie's Spring Bouquet
In this tenth episode, Annemarie adds another beautiful flower to her bouquet! This purple anthurium looks great paired with the large green leaves, as well as with the other flowers in the bouquet. Feel free to get creative with other colors, too, because anthuriums come in many beautiful shades!

Material:
- 1 ball of Lana Grossa Cotone 54, 50, and 44
- 2.5 mm Crochet Hook
- A piece of electrical wire about 30 cm long

Crochet Blanket
We’ve now reached the tenth section of the stitch blanket. Every week, Petra and Saskia take on the challenge of creating a similar knitting and crochet stitch. This week, Saskia is crocheting the cross stitch, and Petra has found a beautiful, similar stitch in an ajour pattern.

Material:
The blanket is made with DROPS Muskat cotton yarn. The colors of the squares are DROPS Muskat colors 40, 05, 29, 10, 19, 03, 20, 24, 09, 53, 60, and 02. The squares are joined together using color 18 (white).

Two 20 x 10 cm squares are made from each stitch.
