Crochet Pattern: How to Customize a MyBoshi Lamp

Saskia is back with “Crochet & Pimp.” She transforms a simple lamp (Ikea, Hektar) into a super cool piece for her home. It’s good enough to eat! She chooses MyBoshi No. 1 because of its thick, fuzzy texture and the yarn’s many lovely colors.

Knitting Pattern for a Stitch Scarf

In this third week of the stitch scarf, Petra is knitting a beautiful floral pattern. With this aster stitch, the scarf is already becoming a true work of art! After last week’s repeat stitch, the aster stitch follows; after that, you can continue with the repeat stitch again.

Of course, we’re not revealing the entire pattern just yet, but you can already order the kit with all the yarn here. That way, you’ll have all the yarn on hand and can join in on the knitting every Friday with a new stitch!

Materials for the complete scarf:

  • DROPS Eskimo Uni Color:
    - 4 x color 53 light grey
    - 3 pieces: 1 in off-white and 14 in dark gray
    - 1 x color 4 orchid, 9 old pink, 10 Burgundy, 12 light blue, 15 dark blue, 22 army, 26 hot pink, 29 green-yellow, 30 pastel pink, 35 lime, 54 medium purple, 56 Christmas red
  • Crochet Hook 5,5
  • Knitting Needles, 40 cm, 8 mm

Dimensions: length 2.45 meters x width 32.5 cm

Aster Stitch Knitting Pattern
Row 1: knit in color 22, army.
2nd row: knit in color 22, army.
Knit reverse stockinette stitch.
*Knit the next 5 stitches with a double yarn over, slip 1 stitch **, repeat from * to ** until the end of the row/pattern.
4th row: color 4, orchid.
Slip 1 st. * Of the 5 stitches, drop the double yarn over and place it back on the left needle. Bring the yarn to the front, “insert the needle into the 5 loops at once from the wrong side, yarn over, pull through, do not let it slip off, make an extra yarn over on the right needle “”. From “ to “” Repeat 1 time, insert the needle purlwise into the 5 stitches one more time and knit one stitch (place these 5 new stitches on the right needle, slip 1 stitch off the needle ** repeat from * to ** 4 times.
5th row: using color 22, army. Knit all stitches; knit the army-colored stitch in the middle together with the orchid-colored crosswise thread.
6th row: Knit all stitches in color 22, army.
7th row: in color 54, medium purple
Slip 4 stitches. *Knit the next 5 stitches with a double yarn over, slip 1 stitch**, repeat from * to **, ending with 4 slipped stitches.
8th row: color 54, medium purple.
Slip 4 stitches off. * Of the 5 stitches, drop the double yarn over and place it back on the left needle. Bring the yarn to the front, “insert the needle into the 5 loops at once for a purl stitch, yarn over, pull through, do not let it slip off, make an extra yarn over on the right needle “”. From “ to “” Repeat 1 time, insert the needle purlwise into the 5 stitches one more time and knit one stitch (place these 5 new stitches on the right needle, slip 1 stitch off ** repeat from * to ** 3 times, ending with 4 sts slipped off.
9th row: using color 22, army. Knit all stitches; knit the army stitch in the middle together with the medium purple crosswise thread.
Row 10: Knit all stitches in color 22, army.
Rows 11 and 12: Using color 30 (pastel pink), knit as on rows 3 and 4.
Rows 13 and 14: Knit as rows 5 and 6 in color 22, army.

Repeat Pattern 2 from Episode 2:
4-needle stockinette stitch in light grey, color 53.
5th row: Knit all stitches. 1 stitch in light grey, *1 stitch in color 26 (hot pink), 1 stitch in light grey**; repeat until the last 3 stitches of the edge.
6th row: 1 row of stockinette stitch (= purl) in light grey.
7th row: knit all stitches. 2 stitches in light grey, * 1 stitch in pastel pink (color 30), 1 stitch in light grey ** repeat from * to ** and end the pattern with 1 more stitch in light grey.
8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th rows: stockinette stitch in light grey, color 53.
