DenDennis
DenDennis is visiting today and he’ll be telling us all about his Amigurumi! From the creation of his books to his work with the Leprosy Foundation, his Embroidery Patterns, and, of course, “Bring Your Amigurumi Friday.” Will you join us?

Crocheted Cabotine Bag
Saskia is crocheting an adorable little bag using the beautiful jasmine stitch. Jasmine isn’t just a lovely name for a sweet little girl—it’s also a gorgeous little flower with many tiny petals. In the world of crochet, the jasmine stitch is related to the star stitch and the yarlekin stitch, but it’s worked just a little differently. The stitch can be crocheted in various ways; Saskia is currently making it with joined double crochets.

Crochet Blanket
This week, we’re already starting on the fourth square of the stitch blanket. Using the crocheted ribbing and the false brioche stitch, Petra and Saskia have achieved almost the same effect. Every week, it’s fun to see how different techniques can look the same, yet be very different.

Material:
The blanket is made with Drops Muskat cotton yarn. The exact number of skeins isn’t known yet, but we’ve already put together a nice selection of colors. The colors used in the blankets are DROPS Muskat colors 40, 05, 29, 10, 19, 03, 20, 24, 09, 53, 60, and 02.

Two 20 x 10 cm squares are made from each stitch.
