Stylecraft CAL - We just can’t get enough of it. One Crochet Along (CAL) after another is coming up, and each design is even more appealing than the last. The first images of the Frida's Flowers blanket are already spreading like wildfire across the internet. We, too, are incredibly excited about Stylecraft’s new CAL, so we couldn’t resist sharing the pictures above with you. Following in the footsteps of the 2015 Lily Pond Blanket, Jane Crowfoot has once again designed a beautiful blanket this year.
Frida's Flowers Blanket
This year’s design—the Frida’s Flowers blanket—is inspired by Mexican folk art and the colorful dresses worn by the artist Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo was a Mexican feminist in the first half of the last century, and her work was characterized by its cheerful colors. English designer Jane Crowfoot (Janie Crow) has translated Kahlo’s style into a beautiful crocheted blanket featuring colorful flowers.

What we can tell you already is that the project is for advanced Haaksters. The 8 parts of the pattern will be published every other week starting April 5, spread out over a period of 4 months. So four months of crocheting fun with an amazing result is guaranteed!
