3 mm Crochet Hook.
Note
: The fan stitch consists of a number of chain stitches divisible by 10 + 2.
Gauge swatch
: Crochet a chain 22 stitches.
Round 1: Now crochet 1 sc in the 2ndthe and 3the Ch 1 from the Crochet Hook. Ch 3. Now crochet 3 tr, 1 ch, 3 tr in the next ch. Skip 3 ch. Crochet 1 sc in the next ch. Skip one ch on the chain. Crochet 1 ch and sc in the next chain. Skip 3 ch and now work 3 tr, 1 ch, and 3 tr in the next chain. Skip 3 ch on the chain and sc in the last 2 ch of the chain.
Round 2: Crochet 2 (1ste ch-1) crochet 1 more ch-1 in the first sc.
Crochet 3. Crochet 1 sc around the ch in the center of the first fan from Row 1. Crochet 3. Crochet 1 hdc, 1 ch, 1 hdc around the ch between the 2 sc from Row 1.
Ch 3. Crochet 1 sc around the chain in the center of the next fan. Ch 3. Crochet 2 hdc in the last sc.
Round 3: Crochet 3 (1ste ch). Crochet 3 more ch-st in the first stitch. Now crochet 1 sc every 3the l. Crochet 1, then crochet in the single crochet from the previous round, repeating this pattern every 1ste ch. Now, around the ch in the center of the 2 hdc from the previous round, crochet 3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc. Now crochet 1 sc around the 3the l. Chain 1. Skip the v and crochet around the first chain. Crochet 4 times into the 2the the first stitch of the previous round.
Round 4: Chain 1. Crochet in the first stitch. Chain 3. Now work 1 half double crochet, 1 chain, and 1 half double crochet around the chain between the 2 single crochets. Chain 3. Crochet in the center of the fan. Crochet 3. Crochet 1 hdc, 1 ch around the next ch-1 space between the 2 sc from the previous round. Crochet 3 and finish with 1 sc in the 3the l of the first st.
Now repeat rows 1 through 4 as desired.
