A colorful poncho made from cheerful crocheted motifs! With the Stylecraft Festival Poncho Crochet Kit, you can make an eye-catching poncho using Stylecraft Special DK. The individual motifs are joined together to form a roomy design with a neck opening and a decorative border. Prefer something to use on the couch? The accompanying English-language pattern also includes instructions for a Blanket.

What are you making?

The poncho consists of 120 crocheted motifs that you piece together. For the blanket, you’ll make 63 motifs. Both color versions use the same pattern: Festival has a black background, and Niamh has a light background. The poncho is crocheted in one size.

Put together your kit

You can choose the main color yourself. In the sample photo, this is Stylecraft Special DK 1002 Black. The seven accent colors create the colorful patterns and are pre-selected in this version.

Tools & Supplies

In addition to the yarn, you'll need a 3.5 mm Crochet Hook (or whatever size gives you the correct stitch ratio), a darning needle, scissors, and, if desired, Stitch Markers and a measuring tape. These tools & supplies are not included as standard.

• Blanket: approximately 89 x 111 cm

The dimensions and yarn requirements depend on your crocheting style. The pattern recommends crocheting a test swatch of about 11 cm using a 3.5 mm Crochet Hook.
