This pineapple is crocheted with different brands of cotton yarns. We looked for the perfect combination of colors and chose the soft glossy cotton yarn Capri and Coton 3. Once you get the hang of the pattern, your pineapple will be finished in no time! Add a green crown on top and voilà, your tropical eye-catcher is done!

What do you need?

Materials: 
- 1 ball Phildar Phil Coton 3 color 88
- 1 ball Katia Capri color 57 and 151
- Crochet hook 3 mm
- Stuffing

Stitches used:
ch         = chain
sl st      = slip stitch
sc        = single crochet (UK: double crochet)
dc        = double crochet (UK: treble crochet)

Free Crochet Pattern Pineapple

Sc 6 in a magic ring using Yellow.

Round 1: Dc 2 in each st. Close round with a sl st. (12)
Round 2: *Dc 1, dc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st. (18)
Round 3: Ch 3, dc 6 in the same st, dc 1, *dc 7 in the next st, dc 1*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st, changing color to Beige. (72)
Round 4: Sc 72. Fasten off and change color to Yellow.
Round 5: Join Yellow in a sc st that is above one of the single dc sts between 2 of the shells. Ch 3, dc 8 in the same st, skip 3 sts, sc 1, skip 3 sts, *dc 9 in the same st, skip 3 sts, sc 1, skip 3 sts*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st, changing color to Beige.
Round 6: Ch 2, sc 8, dc 1, ch 1, dc 1 in the sc st between 2 shells. *Sc 9, dc 1, ch 1, dc 1 in the sc st between 2 shells*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Fasten off.
Round 7: Join Yellow in a *1-ch space and work dc 9 in this ch space, sc 1 in the middle of the next 9 sc of the previous round*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st, changing color to Beige.
Rounds 8 - 25: Repeat rounds 6 and 7 alternately (x 9).
Round 26: Ch 2, sc 8, sc 1 in the sc between 2 shells, *sc 9, sc 1 in the sc between 2 shells*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Fasten off.
Round 27: Join Yellow yarn in a sc between 2 shells and work *dc 7 in this sc st, sc 1 in the middle of the next 9 sc of the previous round*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st, changing color to Beige.
Round 28: Ch 2, sc 6, skip 1 st, *sc 7, skip 1 st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Fasten off.
Round 29: Join Yellow in any first sc of a shell and work *dc 7 in this sc st, skip 6 sts*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Close with a sl st, changing color to Beige.
Round 30: Ch 2, sc 5, skip 1 st, *sc 6, skip 1 st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. Fasten off, changing color to Yellow (54 sts)

Stuff the pineapple.

Round 31: *Dc 1, dc 2 tog*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round.
Round 32: Sc 2 tog until the end of the round.
Draw your yarn through the last sts and pull the yarn tight. Weave in the ends.


Crown/Green leaves:

The leaves are crocheted in the round.

Big leaf (x 3)
Sc 4 in a magic ring.
Round 1: *Sc 1, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (6)
Round 2: *Sc 2, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (8)
Round 3: *Sc 1, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (12)
Round 4: Sc 12.
Round 5: *Sc 1, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (18)
Rounds 6 - 33: Sc 18.

Little leaf (x 5)
Sc 4 in a magic ring.
Round 1: *Sc 1, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (6)
Round 2: *Sc 2, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (8)
Round 3: Sc 8.
Round 4: *Sc 1, sc 2 in the next st*. Repeat *to* until the end of the round. (12)
Rounds 5 - 18: Sc 12.

Attach the big leaves together by folding them around each other a bit. Then you can attach the little leaves around them. Join the crown of leaves to your pineapple with a few small stitches.
