Rico Design is surprising us this season with a fantastic yarn. Rico Creative Bubble is a synthetic yarn with a very fuzzy texture. It’s so fuzzy, in fact, that you can use it to make cute little sponges! Rico offers fun patterns for kitchen and bathroom sponges in the Creative Bubble Funny and Creative Bubble Yummy booklets. Of course, we got to work with it too, and Annemarie designed some cute little rubber ducks.

Everything You Need to Know About Crocheting or Knitting with Rico Creative Bubble
Since this isn't your everyday yarn, we understand that you're curious about all the ins and outs. Below, we've listed the must-knows:

  • You don't need to stuff the little sponges—the yarn is already fluffy enough. Are you working on a project where you do need some stuffing? Just use some of the yarn itself!
  • The yarn is perfectly washable at 60°. That's great for hygiene when you use it for doing the dishes or in the bath!
  • The yarn is nice and soft, so it won't rub against your fingers while you're crocheting or knitting.
  • Even though the yarn is fuzzy, you can see your stitches clearly, so it's easy to follow a pattern!

The yarn comes in a variety of colors that let you make the cutest accessories. The bright hues make your projects cheerful, and even doing the dishes becomes fun!
