To celebrate the launch of this new book, Karin and her test crocheters stopped by our inspiration center, where she performed and signed books. Fans from all over the country came to attend the party—what a spectacle it was! In this blog, we’ll look back on this fantastic event and share the aftermovie!
Crochet à La Bloemen: Stripes & Colors
The Haken à La Bloemen series is expanding this time with the theme “Stripes & Colors.” Stripes and colorful rainbows take center stage in this fourth book filled with Karin’s artistic creations. Suitable for beginner Haaksters thanks to the simple crochet techniques, the projects are ideal for expressing your creativity and playing with colors. The book features twenty projects—both large and small—including cardigans, bags, a top, and a men’s vest, all in Karin’s inimitable style and flair. Karin has now published four books, each one filled with unique, cheerful, and above all, colorful crochet projects.
Karin Bloemen's Performance
Karin gave two performances that Saturday, during which she showcased some pieces from her impressive repertoire. She sang for the guests, honored the book’s test crocheters, and shared how she got started with crocheting and how her books came to be. Of course, Karin looked stunning once again, wearing a breathtaking, flowing dress that matched the theme of her book.
Meet & Greet with Karin Bloemen
After the performance, it was time for the meet-and-greet. Fans could have their books signed by Karin and take a photo with her. Crocheting Flowers for the Senior Citizens' Fund
Since it was “Flower Day” at Yarnplaza, we also organized a fundraiser for the Senior Citizens’ Fund. Crochet a flower, bring it in, and exchange it for a ball of Yarn and Colors Must-have yarn. The crocheted flowers will go to the Senior Citizens Fund, where they’ll eventually be given to seniors who truly deserve a beautiful flower! We’ve collected a gorgeous bouquet of flowers—thank you to everyone who brought in a flower.
