You can never have too many scarves—especially a cute turtleneck like this one. Monique has let her creativity run wild again and got to work with Phil Mikado. This blended yarn, made of wool and Acrylic, features a beautiful color gradient and adds that little extra something to your projects. The yarn’s playful twist and the simple pattern of double crochets and half double crochets make this scarf the perfect winter accessory!
Tools & Supplies:
- 3 balls of Phildar Phil Mikado, color 1149 Arlequin. Unfortunately, this color is no longer available. Check out our other variegated yarns here! How about DMC Pirouette or Lana Grossa Gomitolo Versione?
- 1 ball of Phildar Frimas, color 1044 Pourpre (this is used for a border at the top and bottom)
- Crochet Hooks sizes 6 and 8
Stitches used:
l. = chain stitch
hv. = half double
crochet slip stitch = half double crochet

65 cm (double) x 30 cm
Crochet Pattern for a neck scarf:
Crochet a chain with a number of chain stitches that is divisible by 5 plus 1 chain stitch.
This container has a capacity of 160 liters plus 1 liter.
Crochet Hook size 8
. Row 1: Start in the 2nd ch from the Crochet Hook. 2 sl st, 5 hdc, *5 sl st, 5 hdc*. Repeat from * to *. End with 3 sl st, 1 ch.
Starting with row 2, we crochet into the back loops on every row.
Row 2: 3 ch, 5 hdc, *5 ch, 5 hdc*. Repeat from * to *. End with 2 ch, 1 sl st.
Round 3: 2 hstk., 5 hv., *5 hstk., 5 hv.* Repeat *-* End with 3 hstk., 1 keerl.
Row 4: 3 hstk, 5 ch, *5 hstk, 5 ch.* Repeat from * to *. End with 2 hstk, 1 sl st.
Row 5: 2 ch, 5 hdc, *5 ch, 5 hdc.* Repeat from * to *. End with 3 ch, 1 sl st.
Round 6: 3 ch, 5 hdc, *5 ch, 5 hdc*; repeat from * to *; end with 2 ch, 1 sl st.
Repeat rows 3 through 6 seven more times.
Finish with one more repeat of rows 3 and 4, for a total of 36 rows.
Sew the collar together along the short sides using a needle and thread.
Finally, crochet a border using half double crochet stitches along the top and bottom edges with Phildar Frimas and a size 6 Crochet Hook.
