Crocheting a Turtleneck Scarf and Hat - Generally speaking, not many women are really happy about cold days, right? That’s why, in the winter, you’re only too happy to head out onto the street wearing a hat and a warm scarf—ones you’ve made yourself. A crocheted scarf or a wool hat doesn’t just protect you from the cold and wind; they’re also trendy, as Monique’s design proves. In this blog post, we’ll get you started with her free Crochet Patterns for a cowl and a Hat.
Monique crocheted the hat and the wool scarf using a warm combination of Katia Azteca and Katia Peru. Don’t you think it’s a gorgeous color combination? The Katia Azteca yarn not only has a nice thickness that’s easy to work with, but its composition of wool and Acrylic also effectively keeps out the cold. Thanks to its twisted structure, this beautiful Gradient Yarn remains strong and retains its shape. Katia Peru is a lightweight yarn that creates an extra-soft finish. The openwork patterns and pom-poms on the crocheted hat give these creations a playful look.
