The number of rows l must be divisible by 3.
Using Dark Grey yarn, chain 144 sts with a size 10 Crochet Hook, or very loosely with a size 9 Crochet Hook. Join the chain with a slip stitch. (Make sure the chain doesn't twist.)
Crochet the rest of the col using a size 9 Crochet Hook
Round 1: 1 stitch in each stitch.
Row 2: 3 ch., 1 ch., 1 dc in the same st, skip 2 sts. *In the next st: 1 dc, 1 ch., 1 dc, skip 2 sts.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off with a sl st in the top of the 3 ch. Pull your loop a little longer and attach a Stitch Marker to it. Do not cut your yarn.
Round 3: Join a Light Grey yarn in the first 1-ch space, crochet 3 ch, 1 ch, 1 dc. *In the next 1-ch space, 1 dc, 1 ch, 1 dc.* Repeat *-* When you close this round with a slip stitch in the top chain stitch, make sure your loop and the yarn from the previous round are in front of your work. Now pull a large loop again and move the Stitch Marker from the loop of Round 2 to the loop of Round 3.
4th row: Insert your Crochet Hook into the loop from row 2, pull it tight, and crochet 3 ch., 1 ch., 1 dc in the opening below your 3 starting ch. (So you’re crocheting the single crochet around rows 2 and 3.) This actually creates a V-stitch (1 single crochet, 1 chain, 1 single crochet). Work a V-stitch between each V-stitch from row 3. Fasten off with a slip stitch. The yarn and loop from row 3 may remain on the back. Pull a loop through and switch the Stitch Markers back.
Row 5: Pull your Light Grey loop forward through the Dark Grey V-stitch (which is directly in front of your loop), chain 3, chain 1, single crochet; insert the hook into the same opening as the stitch from Row 4 to make the single crochet.
Rows 6 through 24: Alternate between repeating rows 4 and 5. On row 23, fasten off your Light Grey yarn.
Row 25: 3 ch., 2 tr. in the next 1-ch. space, *1 tr. in the next space (between 2 stitches), 2 tr. in the next 1-ch. space.* Repeat from * to *. Fasten off.
To finish, crochet one on both sides using Light Grey yarn.
Below you can see the turns plotted. The start and end points are not shown.

Katia Alaska comes in a wide variety of colors that you can mix and match endlessly. We've put together three options—which color combination would you choose?
