Yarnplaza had a dream… to design a large, soft, and beautiful throw made up of the most beautiful stitches. This dream came true in 2016: the first Dream Blanket! Through a CAL, everyone could join in and crochet. In 2018, we thought of both crocheters and knitters with the Dream Blanket 2.0 CAL/KAL. This year (2019), the third dream is already coming true: Dream Blanket 3.0 CAL! This blanket is specially designed for all Haaksteres. It features surprising and new stitches for experienced Haaksters. It’s also an achievable project for beginners because it uses various basic stitches, and some stitches are repeated. The blanket is nice and big (1.30–1.65 meters) and a real eye-catcher in your home.
Dream Blanket 3.0
Yarnplaza haakster Monique has proven with the first Dream Blanket and Dream Blanket 2.0 that she can design amazing blankets using innovative stitches. Dream Blanket 3.0 was also crocheted by her magical hands! Yarnplaza wanted to design a blanket featuring graphic designs, and Monique didn’t need to be asked twice—she got right to work. She drew inspiration from the bohemian style and combined it with graphic shapes. The result is a Dream Blanket with playful elements like bobbles, loops, and fringes, as well as bold, clean shapes like Apache tears. You’ll crochet with the strong and soft Yarn and Colors Happy yarn. Thanks to the surprising stitches and the use of two colors, the blanket has a beautiful contrast. The main color is one of the 11 Happy colors, and the accent color is cream (002). Because the accent color is neutral, the other main color really stands out! Reversible Dream Blanket 3.0 Crochet Kit
You can also crochet the Dream Blanket 3.0 “Reversible”—that is, the other way around! The color combination is reversed, which creates a surprising effect. The main color is now always Cream (instead of a color of your choice), and the color of your choice is now the accent color. Because cream is the main color, the blanket looks much lighter! This fresh blanket fits perfectly in a boho-style interior. Dream Blanket 1 is the easiest, partly because it uses many basic stitches. The perfect next step in terms of difficulty after Dream Blanket 1 is Dream Blanket 3.0.
Dream Blanket 2.0 (the crocheted version) is the most challenging and, therefore, also the hardest. -
