Crochet a Dream Scarf

Yes, here’s the Dream Scarf! To help fill the void left by the Dream Blanket CAL, we’ve designed a real Dream Scarf. Featuring the stitches from the Blanket but with the elegance of a Scarf, the Dream Scarf is a wonderful piece for this winter. The stylish look of the different stitches is perfect over a cool jacket or a thick winter coat, and you can make it as long as you want!

What do you need to make the dream scarf?
- 12 balls of Phildar Partner 6, color 107 Minerai
- 5, 6, 8, and 9 mm Crochet Hooks

Scarf dimensions:
The scarf is 30 cm wide and 220 cm long (not including the fringes)

Stitch ratio:
Treble crochets (first row)
13 st. x 5 t. = 10 x 10 cm

Crochet Pattern: Dream Scarf:

Double Crochets
Chain 33 sts + 1 chain stitch using a size 6 Crochet Hook.
Using a 5 mm Crochet Hook
Row 1: 33 sts, 1 row
Rows 2 through 7: 33 sts, and 1 decrease after every row.

Border between the different stitches:
Crochet loosely with a 8 mm Crochet Hook.
Row 8: 33 sts in the front loops, 1 time.
Row 9: 33 sts in the back loops of Row 7, 1 sl st.
Row 10: 33 single crochet in the front loops, 1 chain stitch.
Row 11: 33 sts in the back loops of Row 9, 1 sl st.
Row 12: 33 single crochet in the front loops, 1 chain stitch.

Moss Stitch
Using an 8 mm Crochet Hook.

Weaving Stitch

Outer edge

Using a 5 mm Crochet Hook.
Row 1: After the last row of double crochet, do not fasten off the yarn; instead, continue with the border.
Crochet 32 sts; in the last st, crochet 3 sts (corner). Continue along the side with sts (spaced about 1 cm apart)
*Along the row of 11 sts, edge 3 sts, along the moss stitch 13 sts, edge 3 sts, speckled stitch 13 sts, edge 3 sts,

Change to a No. 8 mm Crochet Hook.

Row 2: Crochet ch sts into the front loops of the previous row’s sts. It’s helpful to insert a small Stitch Marker into the back loop of the corners. 33 ch sts (top) 1 ch st (corner) 211 ch sts (side) 1 ch st (corner) 33 ch sts (bottom) 1 ch st.(corner) 211 ch. (side) 1 ch. (corner) Fasten off.

Change to a No. 5 mm Crochet Hook.

Row 3: Turn the scarf so that the wrong side is facing you, attach a strand of yarn at a corner of the scarf in the back loop of the previous row (at a Stitch Marker). Chain 2, 1 single crochet, chain 2, 2 single crochets in the corner. 33 single crochets, *2 dc, 2 ch, 2 dc* at the corner, 211 dc, repeat *-* 33 dc, repeat *-* 211 dc. Fasten off.

Row 4: Turn the scarf over again, right side facing up.

Attach a strand of yarn at the corner of 2 ch., crochet 1 ch, 1 sc, 1 ch, 2 sc in the corner. Continue and crochet 1 sc in each st. At the corners, *2 sc, 1 ch, 2 sc*. Fasten off.

Fringes
There will be 21 fringes on each short side of the scarf. For each fringe, cut 2 strands of yarn, each 40 cm long. Attach the fringes to each side of the scarf, leaving 1 stitch between each fringe.
