Lookbook #10 - Going Green

Yarn and Colors has released the perfect Lookbook for this theme. The tenth edition of the Yarn and Colors Lookbook, “Going Green,” spotlights a number of sustainable projects. Among other things, you’ll get to make reusable facial cleansing wipes, a reusable mesh bag, a shower stool, and kitchen wipes!

The Sustainable Projects from the Lookbook

Let’s take a closer look at the kits from the lookbook. They’re all made with high-quality Yarn and Colors yarn. You can also reuse all these projects multiple times, so they’re super sustainable! The patterns for all these projects are also available separately, in case you have any yarn lying around that you’d like to recycle (what a great way to stay busy)!

Yarn and Colors Favorite Clean Cloths Crochet Kit

Make cleaning fun with these crocheted kitchen cloths from Yarn and Colors. Thanks in part to their crocheted texture, these cleaning cloths are handy helpers in the kitchen and throughout the rest of the house. Just two balls of Yarn and Colors Favorite organic cotton yarn are enough to make one cleaning cloth.

Yarn and Colors Face Scrubbies Crochet Kit

With these reusable makeup pads, you’ll easily save about 700 (!) Face Scrubbies a year. That’s good for the planet and for you. These crocheted Face Scrubbies were designed by Margreet (known for her Instagram account @knotjeknus) and made from soft, organic Yarn and Colors Favorite cotton.

Yarn and Colors Foldable Net Bag Crochet Kit

Go green and crochet a foldable market bag with a sturdy, oval bottom using just two balls of Yarn and Colors Must-have. Whether you’re scoring some great bargains at the market or popping into the grocery store, this crocheted mesh bag makes it easy to carry your purchases home.

Yarn and Colors Shower Pouf Crochet Kit

Together, we’re crocheting a more beautiful world! And your bathroom, too. Because with this Crochet Kit, you can make a sustainable, reusable shower puff. Margreet (known for her Instagram account @knotjeknus) designed two shower puffs: a small version using Yarn and Colors Must-have and an XL version using Yarn and Colors Epic.

Sustainable Yarn: Yarn and Colors Favorite

This cotton yarn is versatile and durable! From knitting to crocheting, and from Amigurumi to clothing. The thin, smooth yarn is easy to work with to create the most beautiful craft projects. Once knitted or crocheted, it’s easy to care for: the yarn is machine washable up to 60 °C. Just like the other yarns from Yarn and Colors, Favorite is available in every color of the Rainbow.

This yarn has the OEKO-TEX® certification, which means that it contains no harmful substances and was produced in a way that is safe for people and the environment.

We hope this blog has given you plenty of inspiration for your next sustainable project!
