Flamingo Flynn - Free Crochet Pattern - 5 Unique Birds

It's time for bird number 4! This is a very popular tropical bird: Flynn the Flamingo! We're happy to share this free pattern with you again! Are you crocheting and collecting them all, too?

Flamingo Flynn - Many crochet enthusiasts have already gotten started on birds #1, #2, and #3. We’re already up to bird #4: Flamingo Flynn! This tropical bird loves the sun, the sea, and the beach—and she sure knows how to party. Flynn is very athletic—she stands on one leg almost all day long! The flamingo is crocheted in our favorite color: Pink! Does seeing Flamingo Flynn give you summer vibes, too?

INFO: These birds are cheerful bag charms, so we’ll also attach a carabiner to them so you can hang these Amigurumi on your bag (or keychain)! Want to read the full instructions for this project (again)? Then head over to the blog post where everything about the 5 unique birds is explained. Or get started with bird number 1: Pip the penguin, bird number 2: Onno the stork, and bird number 3: Enzo the duck.

Crocheting Flynn Flamingo Birds

The heads and bodies of the birds are all crocheted using the same basic pattern. The rest (such as the beak, legs, wings, etc.) varies by bird, so you’ll get a new pattern each time. The goal is to crochet the bird so tightly that no stuffing is visible. Annemarie likes to crochet with a 2mm Crochet Hook. Using a small Crochet Hook naturally results in very tight stitches. Adjust your Crochet Hook size as needed to suit your crocheting style. The pattern is described below.

TIP: As an extra resource, we've made a video in which Annemarie (the designer of the Amigurumi birds) explains how to crochet Flynn the flamingo.
