Funny Flowers - Want to crochet some flowers? Get started with the pattern for these cute funny flowers. In this blog post, we’ll walk you through, step by step, how to make these flowers and crochet them together right away. Go for solid colors or lots of different colors and create a whole bunch of flowers!
Crocheting flowers is always fun, and the more flowers, the more joy! Use them to decorate gifts, give them away, or make a cute little doily. Of course, you can vary the patterns endlessly: make them bigger with thicker yarn or smaller and more delicate with thinner yarn.
These flowers are crocheted using the Yarn and Colors Charming blend yarn. This yarn has a washed-out look, which gives the flowers a rugged appearance. Monique chose four different colors and attached the flowers to each other in a random pattern. But why not use more or fewer colors and attach them in a fun alternating pattern? In short: You can go in any direction with this pattern, so let your creativity run wild and get started!

Start with a magic ring
Round 1: In the magic ring, crochet 4 stitches (equals 1 hst and 2 ch), *1 hst, 2 ch*. Repeat *-* 10 more times.
Close with 1 single crochet in the 2nd chain.
Row 2: 1 sl st in the first 2-ch space. Crochet around the first 2-ch arch: 2 ch (= 1 hdc), 1 hdc, 1 ch, 2 hdc.
*To the next chapter of 1e chain, 3 hst. (toward the center of the flower), turn the flower, and crochet 3 hst. around the next hst. of the 1e row (from the center to the outside of the flower) Work the next arch as follows: 2 ch, 2 hdc, 1 ch, 2 hdc.* Repeat from * to * 4 more times.
End with 3 hst. around the next hst., turn the flower, and crochet 3 hst. around the next hst. Fasten off with a sl st. in the top ch.
Finally, use a needle and thread to make another running stitch in the center of the flower.
How do you crochet flowers directly onto each other?
These cute little flowers are crocheted directly onto one another. Because you crochet the tips of the existing flowers into the new flower, all the flowers are connected in a fun, playful way. In the instructional video at the bottom of this blog, Monique explains how it works.
