Starting August 17, this blog will guide you over the course of 7 weeks as you crochet a total of 35 unique Granny Squares to create a beautiful Blanket. The Granny Squares are designed by 35 different designers. When creating their designs, the Haakster们 were given complete freedom in both the design itself and the choice of hook size. Participating in the CAL is completely free! During these 7 weeks, 5 granny square patterns from different designers will be released on this blog every Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Download the patterns and you can get started right away!
To make this CAL even more special, we asked all the designers to grab their cameras. Starting August 17, you can watch a special “Haakster” reunion episode every week, in which familiar faces show you the design process behind their own unique Granny Squares. How fun is that?! :)
Granny Square CAL Yarn Kit
Would you still like to join the free Granny Square CAL? You can! All you need to do is get the right yarns. The Granny Square blanket is crocheted with the soft and supple Mixed Up yarn from Pink Label. Two Yarn Kits in two different color combinations are available for the CAL.
The “Sun Side Up” color combination features warm tones: orange, yellow, beige, and red. Are you more of a fan of blankets with a slightly fresher color combination? Then the “All Night Long” kit is right up your alley! The “All Night Long” yarn kit includes blue, green, and grey. It’s also a real eye-catcher that we think would be a welcome addition to just about any interior!
