Crochet 12 granny squares this way.
Sew all the granny squares together using a running stitch with Cabotine size 19
Overhand Stitch
Place 2 granny squares right sides up against each other, pick up 1 loop from each granny square, and sew the granny squares together with a needle and thread using a running stitch. Don't pull the stitches too tight so that the stitch lies flat on top.
Join the 12 granny squares to form a ring.
Now we’re going to attach the granny square border to the bottom using single crochet on the right side of the basket with a size 3 Crochet Hook and yarn size 19. To do this, pick up each stitch, except when you reach the corners where two granny squares meet; crochet these two corners together into a single stitch on the bottom.
Now work 2 rounds of single crochet across all the granny squares using Crochet Hook no. 3 and yarn size 19. As you do this, join the 2 corners of 2 granny squares together into 1 single crochet.
Finishing
the Edge: Crochet Hook size 2.5 and size 19
Round 1: 144 sc. For this round, crochet from the inside of the basket into the front loops as seen from the inside.
Rows 2 through 5: 144 sc. Continue working on the inside as well.
Row 6: Fold the edge outward in half and secure it by working a single crochet into the back loops you left standing in Row 1. Fasten off.

Playing with Color
For this basket, we’ve chosen a blue base with pink and beige—light, airy, and fresh! Of course, we have plenty of balls to allow for lots of variety. For example, choose the Phil Papier 3 “Groseille” and pair it beautifully with Cabotine colors 17, 7, and 18.
