Peaches are versatile and can be enjoyed in many different ways. They’re often eaten fresh, but can also be used in salads, desserts, jams, fruit juices, and even savory dishes like salsas. So who’s to say you can’t put a big crocheted peach on your dining table? Unfortunately, this peach isn’t edible, but it sure is pretty!
The XL peach is crocheted using 8 strands of Yarn and Colors Epic at the same time, so you’ll need to make several balls of each color so you can crochet with all those strands at once. It’s time to grab your Crochet Hook and crochet this peach!

Whole Peach
Using size 042, make a magic ring with 6 single crochets.
Row 1: *2 single crochets in each stitch* x 6 (12)
Row 2: *1 single crochet, 2 single crochets in the next stitch* x 6 (18)
Pull the starting thread through the center of the magic ring, out to the right side of the work.
Row 3: *2 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch* x 6 (24)
Row 4: *3 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch* x 6 (30)
Row 5: *4 single crochets, 2 single crochets in the next stitch* x 6 (36)
Rows 6 through 12: 36 single crochets around
Row 13: *4 single crochets, 2 single crochets together* x 6 (30)
Row 14: *3 single crochets, 2 single crochets together* x 6 (24)
Row 15: *2 single crochets, crochet 2 single crochets together* x 6 (18)
Row 16: *1 single crochet, 2 single crochets together* x 6 (12)
Row 17: *crochet 2 single crochets together* x 6 (6)
Fasten off with a slip stitch and cut the yarn to a length of about 30 cm.
Thread the yarn through the loops (6) of the last row and pull tight.
Insert the thread through the center of these 6 stitches, straight through the peach and out through the center of the mr; wrap the thread around the outside, then insert it again from the bottom up through the peach.
Pull the thread tight to create the characteristic line on the peach. Tie a secure button with the starting thread and tuck the threads inward.
If desired, apply a little blush to the peach to help it "ripen" nicely.
Stem
Using hook size 006, crochet a magic ring with 4 single crochets.
Crochet 1 single crochet in each single crochet (4).
Fasten off with a slip stitch and cut the yarn.
Thread the yarn through the loops (4) of the last row and pull tight.
Leaf
Crochet 082 14 chain stitches.
Now crochet around the chain of chain stitches, working into the front loop.
In the 2nd row from the needle: 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets, 5 half double crochets, 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets.
Crochet along the other side of the chain of chain stitches: 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets, 5 half double crochets, 2 single crochets, 2 single crochets; finish with a slip stitch on top of the chain stitch.
Cut a long piece of thread to use later for sewing the leaf onto the peach.
Attach the stem and the leaf to the top of the peach (where you started crocheting, i.e., on row 1) with a single stitch and a button. Weave in the ends.
