Halloween is very popular in the U.S. and England. Kids especially love it! When it gets dark, they go door-to-door in costume to collect candy. Many people go out of their way to decorate their homes to be as spooky as possible. Even though the Netherlands doesn’t really join in on the fun, it’s still nice to give your home a little Halloween vibe, right? With this spooky candle holder, you can crochet a fun decoration for October 31 in no time.

Halloween Decoration Patterns
Start by making a chain of chain stitches. The number of chain stitches depends on the diameter of your glass jar. Crochet a number of chain stitches and measure around your glass jar to see if there are enough; the chain can be stretched a bit, as this will help your crochet work stay securely around the jar. Close the chain with a slip stitch.
Then, in each chain stitch, work half double crochets or double crochets—whichever you prefer. Close each round with a slip stitch. Work several rounds; the number depends on your glass jar. Continue crocheting until you reach the top, then finish it off.
Then cut out a few different mouths and eyes and start gluing them on!
Place the tea lights in the jars and light them.
Good luck!
