TIP: In the video below, Annemarie explains how to crochet the Katia Bombay scarf. Without fringe, the Katia Bombay scarf measures approximately 210 cm (long) x 15 cm (wide).
The scarf is crocheted lengthwise using Katia Bombay (2007). You crochet back and forth. After each row, turn your work. For the first double crochet, always chain 3.

Round 1: Using a 4mm Crochet Hook, chain 368 stitches. Now continue crocheting with a 3.5mm Crochet Hook. Crochet 367 single crochets along the chain.

Now follow the pattern diagram below. Each open double crochet represents 1 dc, 1 ch. Repeat this pattern until the end of the row. In a closed double crochet, crochet 2 dc. End your first row with 3 closed double crochets. For the last row, work a row of v and fasten off.

Finishing:
Dampen the scarf and stretch it out for a nice, even look. Make fringes at every double crochet or 3 chain stitches along the short side of the scarf. For each fringe, cut 2 strands of each of the 2 Cotone colors to a length of 50 cm. Fold the strands in half. Wrap the fold around your double crochet hook on the side and pull the ends of the strands through the loop you’ve created. Pull tightly. Trim the fringes to a length of 18 cm.
And there you have it—your cheerful summer scarf is ready!
