In November and December, we’re more than happy to stand in line at garden centers to deck out our homes for Christmas! We decorate the Christmas tree in the living room with angel hair and ornaments, hang lights on the front of the house, and place a large wreath on the front door. A beautiful crocheted Christmas village on a chic tiered stand is the perfect addition to all of this!

Christmas Village Etagère
We chose a large étagère (65 cm tall and 40 cm wide) so that you can crochet a cozy Christmas village, filled with lots of figures and festive decorations! In this snow-covered miniature village, you’ll find houses, warmly dressed villagers, a Santa Claus delivering presents, and a large, sparkling Christmas tree. Even though winter days are dark and cold, the warm Christmas colors bring warmth into the home. That’s why we’re using authentic traditional Christmas colors for the étagère—think green, dark red, and bright yellow for the lit-up houses and twinkling lights.

CAL
From December 1 through 24, we’ll be sharing a pattern every morning on this blog. The patterns are free, clearly explained, and suitable for Haaksters who have mastered the basic stitches.
