Crocheting Christmas Cards

Just a little over a week to go, and then… then it’s Christmas! Have you sent your Christmas cards yet? A lot of things are going digital these days, but a handwritten card with a personal Christmas message is irreplaceable. In this blog, we’re going to crochet a Christmas card. This will make your Christmas greeting even more personal this year and is sure to put a smile on the faces of your family, friends, or that lonely man a few houses down the street...

Christmas is always special. But this year, it’s even more so. We’re celebrating in an intimate way—with a small group of people who hold a special place in our hearts. But that doesn’t mean we’re forgetting our other loved ones. On the contrary, this year we’re sending an extra-personal Christmas card—a loving message straight from the heart. In this blog, we’ll show you how to make your own homemade Christmas card.

First things first: what do you need? Well, not much at all, actually. The only tools & supplies you'll need are:
• blank cards • leftover yarn • a Crochet Hook that matches your yarn • Glue or (washi) tape.

For our Christmas cards, we’re crocheting little Christmas trees, snowflakes, Christmas stockings, and a little Christmas angel. We’re using a 2.5 mm Crochet Hook and scraps of Phildar Coton 3, but of course you can also use cotton yarn or other scraps from your stash.

Once your Christmas ornament is finished, glue it onto the Christmas card. It’s also fun to attach it with washi tape, so the lucky recipient can hang your crocheted creation on the Christmas tree as a Christmas ornament.

Add a warm Christmas greeting, and your Christmas card is ready to be mailed. Have fun crocheting!
