Crocheted Katia Stole with a Chic Trim
This crocheted stole is bold and just a touch chic! The combination of the thick, sturdy Alaska yarn worked with a large Crochet Hook and the thin, chic sequined border makes this stole unique. To really finish it off, Saskia chooses to thread Knit Collage wool through the open stitches: “That yarn is so beautiful! The little flowers or glitter thread are spun right into the wool—it’s art!” And is the stole warm? “Oh yes! Very warm—the warmth is trapped between the holes,” says Saskia.
Materials used:
- 8 balls of Katia Alaska (we're using color 15)
- 2 balls of Phildar Paillettes (color 4)
- 1 ball of Rico Essentials Crochet (color 10)
- 1 ball of Knit Collage Gypsy Garden (color 9)
- Clover Amour Crochet Hooks sizes 7, 5, and 1.75

It’s wonderfully soft and nice and warm! Petra goes for a matching pom-pom, but why not go wild and pick a fun color!

Knitted Scarf
Unfortunately, we don’t have a stitch scarf in this week’s episode. Starting next week, it will be featured every week, and we’ll be crocheting new rows in cheerful stitches. This time, however, we are revealing the scarf’s color palette. Saskia has chosen Lana Grossa Merino Superfein. This yarn is nice and soft, comes in a wide range of colors, and is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. So it’s perfect for a scarf!
Saskia uses colors 431, 588, 477, 504, 537, 2007, and 2010. It’s going to be a vibrant, colorful scarf—just like Saskia. Would you prefer a solid-color scarf or different shades? Anything is possible, of course, so let your creativity run wild!
