Crocheting a Little Crown

Crochet Pattern: Crocheting a Little Crown

Start with a chain of 120 chain stitches. Join the ends with a slip stitch to form a ring. Be careful not to twist the chain as you join it. Tip: Try the chain on around your head to make sure you can still adjust it to the right size.

Round 1: 120 single crochets; close the round with 1 slip stitch.

Row 2: 120 double crochets; close the row with 1 slip stitch.

Round 3: * 1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch, skip 1 single crochet *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the round. Fasten off with 1 slip stitch.

4th row: * 1 pineapple stitch around the chain stitch between the 2 double crochets *. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row. Fasten off with 1 slip stitch.

The pineapple stitch: * 1 yarn over, insert the Crochet Hook into the space between the 2 double crochets, 1 yarn over, pull up 1 long loop, 1 yarn over, insert the Crochet Hook into the same space, 1 yarn over, pull up the 2nd long loop, 1 yarn over, insert the Crochet Hook into the same space, 1 yarn over, pull through a 3rd long loop, 1 yarn over, insert the hook into the same space, 1 yarn over, pull through a 4th long loop, 1 yarn over and pull it through the 8 loops on the Crochet Hook, 1 yarn over and pull it through the last 2 stitches on the Crochet Hook, 1 chain stitch*

Row 5: 2 double crochets in each space from the previous row. Fasten off with 1 slip stitch.

Round 6: 120 single crochets. Fasten off with 1 slip stitch.

Round 7: in the first single crochet,* 3 double crochets, 3 chain stitches, 1 slip stitch in the first of the 3 chain stitches, 3 double crochets, skip 4 single crochets*. Repeat from * to * until the end of the round.

Finish with 1 slip stitch.
