The sun is slowly starting to peek out again. The temperature is creeping up, we’re biking more often, and the newborn lambs are making their voices heard; we’re welcoming spring! And even though the truly warm summer sunbeams are still a while away, spring has its own USPs (Unique Selling Points). We’re talking about the season when Mother Nature regains her color, blossom walks are in full swing, and our blooming flower fields are the number one tourist attraction. That last part doesn’t come as a total surprise to me—after all, who doesn’t get totally happy from flowers? That’s why Yarnplaza has put together a bouquet just for you!
The Spring Bouquet
Do you know that overwhelming feeling of “Help, I can’t decide!” when you walk into a flower shop? If so, then we’re on the same page. :) You find yourself wondering which color palette is right for you, which flower varieties are a match made in heaven, and what price tag will be attached to that bouquet you’ve put together yourself—one that ends up being way too big. That’s why our designer, Annemarie Arts, has already done all this work for you and, with the Yarn and Colors Favorite, crocheted a lovely bouquet of flowers that’s just as fun to make as it is to give.

If you’d like to treat yourself (or someone else) to a cheerful, colorful bouquet of flowers, you can get started with either a standalone Crochet Pattern or a complete, hassle-free Yarn Kit. With the Kit, you’ll receive the Crochet Patterns for the five flowers and all the yarn you need to get started right away on this sunny spring bouquet. All you need is a 1.75mm Crochet Hook and 3mm wire.
Would you rather get started with the individual Crochet Patterns for the South African Klapbloem, Sunshine, Penvaline Flower, Pink Spring, and Philondadre Leaf? In that case, in addition to the 1.75mm Crochet Hook and 3mm wire, you’ll need the following materials:
• 3 skeins of Yarn and Colors Favorite No. 86

To surprise your dear mom, grandma, or mother-in-law on Mother’s Day, we’ve designed an extra flower. This cheerful spring bloom is also crocheted with the popular Yarn and Colors Favorite yarn and is easy to make using the digital Crochet Pattern. Would you like to show up at her door on Mother’s Day with a whole bouquet of flowers? Then combine this beautiful flower with the crocheted Spring Bouquet! Have you already purchased the Spring Bouquet kit? If so, you already have more than enough yarn in the kit, and all you need to do is buy the separate Crochet Pattern! :)
Did you know that…
Did you know that flowers have many positive effects on your health? So you no longer have to wait for your partner to walk through the front door with a beautiful bouquet. It’s time to pamper yourself and treat “me, myself, and I” to a gorgeous bouquet of (crocheted) flowers!
Flowers stimulate two of our senses: sight and smell. While a crocheted bouquet of flowers may not stimulate the sense of smell, it certainly delights the eyes all the more. :) Various studies show that having flowers around leads to greater creativity and better cognitive performance. The results of several studies also indicate that having flowers in your line of sight makes you feel much better about yourself. Your mood improves, and feelings of depression, anxiety, and restlessness decrease. How fantastic! And did you know that the University of North Florida discovered that flowers can also reduce your stress levels? Now you know! ;)

Giving
Deep down, giving a bouquet of flowers is still the best thing there is. You’re letting the other person know you’re thinking of them; you’re offering congratulations, expressing sympathy, wishing them success, or surprising them with something extra—simply because you know they need it right now. And do you want to convey a specific message with the flowers? Then take a closer look at “floriography,” also known as the language of flowers. The symbolic meaning of flowers is determined by the type and color of the flower(s) you include in your bouquet. So if you find it hard to put your feelings for someone into words, explore the “language of flowers” and get started with the Crochet Pattern for the Spring Bouquet. You can choose your own colors and make the message even more personal. – Enjoy the flower power!
Have you started working on (one or more flowers from) the Spring Bouquet? Then share a photo on Facebook and Instagram! We’d love to see it :) Don’t forget to tag us with #Yarnplaza and @Yarnplaza, so we’ll know about it, too. :) Have fun crocheting!
