Crocheting a Basket with Yarn and Colors Epic

Crocheting a Basket - October is Home Decor Month! The transition from summer to winter is the perfect time to spruce up your home. Annemarie shows that you really don’t always have to go all out. Especially for Home Decor Month, she crocheted this cute little basket using Epic Crochet Yarn from Yarn and Colors.

Annemarie uses her creation as a cute fruit basket, but you can use this crocheted basket for so many other things. It looks really trendy around your flower or plant pots, is cute in the kids’ room, or can be used to store your balls of wool. The basket is made with Yarn and Colors Epic. This 100% Cotton matte yarn gives every crochet project a unique look, while the stitches used ensure that the basket always stands upright. Annemarie chose a combination of teal and Mint Green. A trendy combination: it’s no coincidence that Blue was named the interior color of the year. Not a fan of these colors? No problem—Epic comes in no fewer than 100 different colors.

Tools & Supplies:
- 5 balls of Yarn and Colors Epic Petrol Blue (69)
- 3 balls of Yarn and Colors Epic Jade Gravel (73)
- Crochet Hooks sizes 5.5 and 6

Stitches used:
- l. = chain stitch
- v. = single crochets
- hv. = slip stitch
- Pattern stitch: Insert your Crochet Hook into the next v, pull up the Petrol Bleu (color A) yarn. Insert your Crochet Hook one stitch back, pull up the Jade Grave (color B) yarn. You now have three loops on your Crochet Hook. Make a yarn over with color B and pull it through all three loops on your Crochet Hook.
