Free Crochet Pattern for a Mini Flag Garland
The flag measures approximately 4.8 cm from the top to the tip.
You get 6 flags from 1 mini Must-have.
Crochet the flags back and forth. After each row, chain 1 and turn your work. This chain stitch does not count as a stitch. Crochet 6 flags in the following colors: papaya, lemon, blossom, deep cerise, sapphire, laminar, and peony leaf.
Round 1: Chain 2. Crochet 2 single crochets in the first chain (2).
Round 2: Crochet 1 single crochet. Crochet 2 single crochets in the last single crochet (3).
Round 3: Crochet 2 sc. Crochet 2 sc in the last sc (4).
Round 4: Crochet 3. Crochet 2 single crochets in the last single crochet (5).
Round 5: Crochet 4. Crochet 2 single crochets in the last single crochet (6).
Round 6: Crochet 5. Crochet 2 single crochets in the last single crochet (7).
Round 7: Crochet 6. Crochet 2 single crochets in the last single crochet (8).

Wet your little flags and shape them nicely. Let them dry before you crochet them together.

Making
a Flag Garland You now have a total of 42 flags. I crocheted them into 3 garlands as follows. Use a 2mm Crochet Hook and Light Pink yarn.
Top garland
: Now crochet the first loop so you can attach your entire garland. Chain 40. Slip stitch into the first chain to form a loop. Continue crocheting from this point. For the smallest garland (top one), chain 50. Now crochet the first flag using 12 single crochets. Chain 2 between each flag. Crochet the flags together in the following color sequence: Sapphire, Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya, and Sapphire.
After the last flag, crochet 51. Join to the 51stste Crochet 1. Crochet 39 more. Sl st in the 51stste l so that you have a loop on this side as well. Neatly weave in the beginning and ending threads.
Middle garland
: Now chain 25. Crochet the flags together in the following color sequence: Sapphire, Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya, Sapphire, Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya.
Crochet 2 between each flag. After the last flag, crochet 25. Fasten off.
Attach your string of flags by single crocheting the starting and ending threads to the first chain stitch after the crocheted loops of your top garland.
Lower garland
: Now chain 12. Crochet the pennants together in the following color sequence:
Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya, Sapphire, Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya, Sapphire, Blossom, Lemon, Laminar, Peony Leaf, Deep Cerise, Papaya. Crochet 2 between each flag. After the last flag, crochet 12. Fasten off.
Attach your string of flags by single crocheting the starting and ending threads to the first chain stitch after the crocheted loops of your top garland.
Finishing
Touch: Slide the wooden beads over the crocheted loop for a nice finish.
You can use your Crochet Hook to pull the loop through the bead.
