The word “beanie” comes from American English and has nothing to do with beans. A hundred years ago, the word “bean” was used in American basketball to mean “head.” “To put something on the bean” was an expression that meant “to wear something on one’s head.” That’s how the word “beanie” eventually came about. In Japan, this fashion accessory was further developed. And from Japan, the “boshi” (hat in Japanese) made its way to Germany, where the brand “Myboshi” caused a real rush on wool shops.Individuality is the most important thing about this cool hat. That’s why you should knit or crochet your own! Even though it might feel a little weird, you can totally wear a hat in the spring and summer, too. A hat makes any outfit look cool, casual, and modern. And if you’re having a bad hair day, a hat is the perfect solution!
