Crochet Pattern: Crocheting a Border with Crossed Arcs

The pattern for the border consists of 8 stitches, so make sure the row on which you’ll crochet the border with crossed arches is divisible by 8.

Make a loop on your Crochet Hook using color 1. Join with 1 single crochet anywhere along your edge, 6 chain stitches, skip 3 stitches, 1 single crochet in the 4ththe Slip stitch, 6 chain stitches. Stretch the loop on your Crochet Hook and remove the Crochet Hook.

Make a loop on your Crochet Hook with color 2. Join with 1 single crochet in the middle stitch of the 3 stitches we just skipped. Fold the arch made with color 1 forward and, using color 2, crochet 6 chain stitches, skip 3 stitches, bring your 6-chain arch to the front, and secure it with 1 single crochet, then crochet 6 chain stitches. Pull the loop on your Crochet Hook wider and remove the Crochet Hook.
