He’s coming, he’s coming! St. Nicholas and his helpers are almost here again, so it’s high time to make some fun (and tasty!) St. Nicholas decorations. In addition to treats like pepernoten and speculaas, we also love decorating our home. The result is a real “Sint wreath”—completely in style with candy letters, a hat, a miter, and a carrot for his trusty steed...
We’ll crochet this cheerful Sinterklaas wreath using Katia Canada yarn as the base. This thick yarn provides a sturdy foundation that really lets the colorful decorations shine. We’re going with a wreath featuring the letters that spell “SINT,” but why not let your creativity run wild and make some other super-delicious candy letters? Of course, you can also crochet the individual decorations onto a Garland. It’s fun to hang in the window!
Stitches used:
sl st = slip stitch
v = single crochets
l = chain stitch
The number of stitches is indicated in parentheses ( ) at the end of each row.
