Crochet 12 mini Granny Squares this way for this keychain.
Now join all the mini Granny Squares together with slip stitches on the wrong side. Do not close the strip yet.
Along the two long sides, crochet a decorative border using the durable yarn as follows:
*1 st., skip 1 st., next 4 sts., skip 1 st.,* repeat *-* to the end; work the second long side the same way.
Thread the strip of mini Granny Squares through the snap hook and join the last two squares together. Secure the two squares wrapped around the hook with a few single crochets; this will keep the hook in place.

Of course, you can choose how many Granny Squares you want to crochet and how long you want your keychain to be. Decrease the number of Granny Squares you crochet to make a bracelet, or increase the number to make a lanyard. Have fun crocheting!
