Crochet Shell Stitch Pattern


Yarn: Yarn and Colors Baby Fabulous, color Glass
Needle Size: Cast on with a 5mm needle and continue crocheting with a 4.5mm needle

Shell Stitch
Start with a chain of a number of chain stitches that is divisible by 6, plus 1 chain stitch.

Row 1: Chain 2, then work 2 double crochets into the 4th chain stitch from your Crochet Hook; *skip 2 chain stitches, 1 single crochet, skip 2 chain stitches, 4 double crochets in 1 stitch. Repeat from * to * until the end of the row.

Row 2: 3 chain stitches, 2 double crochets in the single crochet from the previous row, *skip 2 double crochets, 1 single crochet between the 2nd and 3rd double crochets of the cluster you crocheted in Row 1, skip 2 double crochets, 4 double crochets in the single crochet from the previous row. Repeat *to* until the end of the row.

Repeat Row 2 until you have reached the desired height.
