What is the Suzette Stitch?
The Suzette Stitch is a very simple crochet stitch that’s a joy to work. By crocheting a single crochet and a double crochet into the same stitch and then skipping a stitch, you create a dense fabric with a beautiful texture. Because the Suzette Stitch is a fairly compact pattern stitch, we recommend crocheting your project with a thicker hook than the one indicated on the yarn label. This will make the stitch stand out more beautifully and keep your project supple.
What can you crochet using the Suzette Stitch?
Because the Suzette Stitch creates a dense crochet fabric, it’s ideal for projects designed to keep you nice and warm. Think of a baby blanket or throw, a Shawl, scarf, or headband, or even a playpen liner. But the Suzette Stitch is also perfect for pillowcases, a bag, a crocheted pencil case, or even a Cardigan.
